O’Dowd & Associates Mortgage recently transitioned to a new name—Signature Home Loans, LLC—and moved to a new location just down the road, with offices now at 1599 E. Orangewood Ave., Suite 200. The company will continue to maintain its 28-year presence in the North Central community.

O’Dowd was started in 1985 by Pete O’Dowd. It was always a small, family-owned company, comprising of an average of 10 loan officers and four staff members. The average loan officer and staff member has been with O’Dowd Mortgage for 15 years or more.

O’Dowd & Associates Mortgage has been listed with the BBB since 1994 and has had zero complaints. It is estimated that they have funded more than 10,000 loans.

In 2011, Pete O’Dowd and his top five loan officers started work on new plans to eventually transition the company into a new company with a new name, different ownership structure, but with all the same people working for them.

There are now five owners in the new Signature Home Loans mortgage company. They have maintained the same staff of loan officers that were with them at O’Dowd & Associates.
