The Fix.Adopt.Save. campaign is a comprehensive plan that tackles Maricopa County’s homeless animal problem while helping animals and communities in the process. One of the goals of the three-year campaign is to reduce unwanted animals by providing spay/neuter surgeries to residents in specific geographical areas of Maricopa County.

In conjunction with the Fix.Adopt.Save, campaign, Maricopa County Animal Care & Control (MCACC) will offer free spay/neuter surgeries for owned cats in 85020 and 85021 zip codes. This particular component of the program does not apply to dogs or feral cats.

Residents of the targeted zip codes can get an application at MCACC’s Under One Woof adoption center, which is located inside Metrocenter Mall at 9617 N. Metro Parkway. Under One Woof is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Completed applications must be mailed to MCACC and it will take several weeks for processing. Applicants will receive a voucher in the mail that is valid for a free spay/neuter surgery at any of 65 participating veterinary clinics; applicants will receive a list of participating clinics with their voucher.
