Phoenix’s Youth and Education Office is looking for individuals who are passionate and committed to enhancing education. Members of the Youth and Education Commission will advise the mayor, city council and city management on how to improve educational strategies and youth development within our community.

The Youth and Education Commission includes 17 members from local businesses, youth-serving organizations, secondary and postsecondary institutions and the Arizona Department of Education.

The Youth and Education Office is also seeking youth from each council district to be part of the commission and assist in advising the city on opportunities and challenges relating to youth. The commission will meet at a minimum of once per quarter.

Applications for the Youth and Education Commission are available at http://phoenix.gov/citygovernment/boards/apply/. When submitting an application, also send an e-mail to tim.valencia@phoenix.gov stating that your completed application has been submitted.
