The Almost Famous Film Festival (A3F) is launching its 10th-annual 48 Hour Short Film Challenge Feb. 14-16. This event is open to all ages and abilities and anyone who wants to create a 1-5 minute film in just two days or 48 hours.

Teams come together on Friday, Feb. 14 for a kick-off party from 5:30-7 p.m. at Majerle’s Lounge in downtown Phoenix, 24 N. 2nd St. The guidelines, a theme, prop and line of dialogue are announced at 7 p.m. sharp.

Teams then have two days or 48 hours to write a script, find locations, gather their cast and crew. The films are due by 7 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16 with the drop-off location back at Majerle’s.

Winning films will be screened 7-9 p.m. Feb. 27 at the AMC Arizona Center. Tickets are $10 and are available on the A3F website, www.thea3f.net.
