Salon Estique was established June 20, 1994 by co-owners Brenda Barnaby, Kelly Boudreau and Cheryl Finn. They had a vision to create a prestige salon committed to serving their neighbors and the North Central Phoenix community.
As the salon gets ready to mark its 20th anniversary, the vision hasn’t changed, but the business model has. “We started out like most salons do, with independent contractors,” Barnaby explained. “We realized pretty soon that model just wasn’t going to work for us. So we let everyone go, which was really hard, and started over again with employees.”
She said it was the best decision they could have made. “Our customers really notice that everyone here helps each other out, that we work as a team, as a family.
“We place a lot of emphasis on retaining our talent and our guests by providing an enjoyable environment for all,” added Barnaby.
The salon employs 45 specialists in the areas of hair, skin, makeup and nail care. Advanced education is the cornerstone of Salon Estique’s culture. All stylists go through an intensive internal training program to guarantee the highest standards in the industry. Additionally, staff members will travel nationally and internationally to keep up with the latest most modern trends and techniques.
To mark the salon’s 20th anniversary, first-time guests will receive a special bonus during the month of June.
