After nearly six years in business, Kodi’s Natural Pet Foods is expanding to a second location. Kodi’s diverse selection of healthy pet foods and treats can now be found inside Integrative Veterinary Oncology (IVO), located at 2501 N. 32nd St. Owner Rhonda Teel will be dividing her time between her store on 16th Street just north of Bethany Home Road and this new location.

Teel’s “Nutrition Center” inside IVO will feature the same quality products and have its own separate checkout area.

Teel met IVO’s Dr. Betsy Hershey in 2003 when the veterinarian was treating Teel’s dog, Kodi, for whom her business is named. Hershey offers a novel approach to veterinary cancer therapy by combining conventional Western therapies with complementary Eastern therapies to provide “whole patient” care.

“Dr. Hershey is basically the reason I got into natural pet foods,” Teel said. “More recently, she has been treating my German shepherd for allergies and that’s when we got to know each other again.”

They started discussing the idea of Teel offering her products inside the clinic. “The benefit for clients of IVO is helping them with the health of their pets by offering recommendations for better nutrition or to assist with allergy issues,” Teel explains.

The Nutrition Center inside IVO will be open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. For more information, call 602-265-0462 or visit
