Grab that floppy hat and wedge heels—it’s the fourth annual Wine, Women and Horses event at Turf Paradise, with proceeds benefiting the Child Crisis Center.

This year’s event is Saturday, March 1, and tickets go on sale Jan. 6 at www.childcrisis.org.

The Child Crisis Center is committed to preventing child abuse and neglect by supporting and strengthening families through education and intervention, by providing a safe environment for children to heal, and by recruiting, training and supporting foster and adoptive families. It has been in operation for nearly 33 years.

More than 400 people attended last year’s event, which raised $24,000.

On-site registration begins at 11 a.m. The event runs from noon to 4 p.m. and features lunch; mystery gifts, raffle prizes; a hat contest; and lots of horse racing action.

Tickets are $65 per person and sponsored tables also are available by calling 602-375-6403. The event is also seeking in-kind contributions and advertisers for the event day program.
