Kinesphere Center for Movement Education in May focuses on women’s health, offering unique workshops geared toward women’s health and vitality.

A Women’s Pelvic Health Workshop will take place 12:30-2 p.m. Saturday, May 10 (register by May 5). The goal of this workshop is to offer tools to create better function and stability in the pelvis. Learn and practice exercises to build the appropriate strength and yield in the muscles, explore a toned but balanced pelvic floor that can help prevent or lessen incontinence, organ prolapse, and other pelvic floor dysfunctions, and gain a better understanding of how postural habits influence the health of one’s body. Cost is $30.

A Women’s Self-Cupping Happy Hour is set for 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, May 30 (register by May 35). Join Kat Myers as she shares some self-cupping techniques for toning and detoxifying your body. Cupping therapy uses oxygen-depleted glass cups placed on the bare skin to relieve pain and muscle tension. Cost is $35.

Learn to defend yourself from unexpected situations in the Women’s Self Defense Workshop, 12:30-2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 31. Those ages 12 and older can learn about effective choices in the event of an undesirable situation. Cost is $25.

Floor barre class will be free during the month of May.
