Century Branch Library, 1750 E. Highland Ave., hosts a series of fun, free activities for kids beginning Jan. 11 as part of its “Kids Marketplace.” All activities take place 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Saturdays this month, and are suitable for ages 4 and older.

Basic science, technology, engineering and math concepts will be explored during these drop-in, hands-on sessions. Local teens will assist children with new projects each week. Topics include Mini Marshmallow Launchers on Jan. 11; Exploring Sushi: Kid-Style on Jan. 18; and Popsicle Stick Kazoos on Jan. 25. All programs are free.
