Join the city of Phoenix, in partnership with Experience Matters and Experience Corp Phoenix, to help kids in kindergarten through third grade become better readers.

Read On Phoenix is calling for volunteers to become reading tutors in targeted central and west valley Phoenix schools for the upcoming school year. Individuals, service organizations or corporate groups can make a difference in the life of a child by volunteering just two hours, twice a week from October through April. Volunteers receive training and materials and do not need any prior tutoring experience.

Children who do not read at grade level by third grade are four times more likely to drop out of high school. One committed adult can change the course of a young life by helping them gain the reading skills needed to learn and succeed in life.
