Just in time for the fall holiday season, Karl’s Quality Bakery will host a series of afternoon cookie and cupcake baking classes for kids.

Children ages 7-14 can sign up for Halloween Cookies on Saturday, Oct. 18, or Halloween Cupcakes on Saturday, Oct. 25, at the bakery, located at 111 E. Dunlap Ave., Suite 13. The pint-sized chefs will measure, mix, cut, bake and decorate their own cookies or cupcakes.

Future classes include Thanksgiving Cookies in Saturday, Nov. 15; Thanksgiving Cupcakes on Saturday, Nov. 22; Winter Cookies on Saturday, Dec. 6; and Winter Cupcakes on Saturday, Dec. 13. All classes take place from 3 to 6 p.m.; cost is $48 for each class, and all materials are included. Space is limited; sign up in person at the bakery.

Karl’s also will host a Gingerbread House event for families, on your choice of day, Nov. 28-Dec. 1. Families will be given a pre-baked kit with frosting and candies and instruction as they assemble it together at the bakery. A box to take the finished 12-inch by 7-inch by 9-inch house home will be provided. Recommended for ages 5 and older; at least one adult must be present. Cost is $200 per family.
