Carolyn Moos, former WNBA player and USA Basketball Gold Medal Jr. Olympian, hosts a youth basketball, yoga and nutrition clinic, for children in sixth to tenth grades, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, May 3 at North Phoenix Baptist Church, 5757 N. Central Ave.

The day begins with yoga from 10 to 11 a.m. A full yoga session workout will be provided, which includes strengthening, endurance muscle work, core, proprioceptor balance work and flexibility. Moos has trained NBA, MLB and NFL players in yoga.

Next up is basketball from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Students will learn the essential fundamentals of basketball along with individual and team drills they can take home with them for consistent practice and continued development.

The day wraps up from 12:30-1 p.m. with nutrition. Moos will discuss strategic menu planning for your sport and for overall health to optimize mental and physical performance.
