Arizona StandDown 2015, an event to recognize and assist homeless and at-risk U.S. veterans, will take place 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Feb. 12-14 at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum, 1826 W. McDowell Road.

Veterans will be connected with programs and services to assist them with housing, V.A. benefits, legal aid, Social Security, driver’s licenses/state IDs, V.A. mental heath services, and more.

If you have outstanding court issues, court registration will take place on Thursday, Feb. 12, with court resolutions taking place on Saturday, Feb. 14. There also will be closing ceremonies at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

On-site services for Thursday and Friday include meals, clothing, haircuts, showers, and pet care; all domestic animals welcome. Note there are no services available on Saturday.

Free transportation will be available beginning at 8 a.m. from the VA Medical Center at 650 E. Indian School Road and the St. Vincent de Paul dining hall at 9227 N. 10th Ave. Additional shuttle locations can be found on the website. There is no free parking at the coliseum; those with vehicles are encouraged to park at the VA Medical Center and take the free shuttle.
