Sara-Lu Kolkoski, a long-time North Central resident, celebrated her 80th birthday with a surprise party with all her closest friends and family, hosted by her three children and brother. Her 80th birthday wish was to skydive, and her wish came through with a tandem skydive in Eloy, Ariz., with her family and friends cheering her on.
Kolkoski remains very active in the community, delivering food for St. Vincent de Paul once a week and volunteering around the Valley. She is an active member of Woman’s Philosophical Educational Organization (PEO), for which she has been a member since 1981, and enjoys working out with the Silver Sneakers at the North Phoenix Baptist Church.
When she is not busy with her outside activities, Kolkoski enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, traveling and gardening.
