California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) last year celebrated its 30th birthday by introducing a new look and refreshed menu—part of a company-wide renaissance called the Next Chapter.

CPK-Biltmore Fashion Park launched its Next Chapter renovations and menu upgrades in December and since then business has increased by nearly 60 percent. The Biltmore location has always had a strong lunch crowd, being so close to several office towers, but since the changes lunch sales have increased. Diners are drawn in by the more than 80 Lunch Duos that offer affordable made-to-order combinations with a quick turn-around.

Dinner sales also have jumped, due perhaps in part to distinctly upscale options such as Fire-Grilled Ribeye and Hearth-Roasted Halibut.

The new look at Biltmore Fashion Park features sustainable materials and natural elements such as oak floors, tabletops made from reclaimed wood, natural stone countertops and artifacts of from salvaged metal.

The centerpiece of the newly remodeled CPK Biltmore is the open kitchen, where guests will be able to watch as their food is prepared from scratch.

For those with dietary restrictions, CPK has options that are under 650 calories, vegetarian/vegan or gluten free.

The Biltmore Fashion Park location was the first of six Arizona restaurants for CPK, so it was fitting that it would be the first one to be remodeled in the state. It is located at the northeast corner of 24th Street and Camelback Road, next to Macy’s. For more information, call 602-553-8382.
