In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Lifestyle Pilates at 1321 E. Northern Ave. is offering one-time free Pilates classes all month long to breast cancer survivors, family members, friends, and any community supporters.

Every woman and man has the ability to regain a sense of wellbeing that had been lost from diagnosis through surgery and into recovery. This can be achieved, in part, through an exercise therapy program designed specifically for the needs and challenges facing the growing number of breast cancer survivors. Rehabilitation is a key component often missing in the treatment of breast cancer.

Lifestyle Pilates Reformer and Power Plate programs help to stretch and strengthen shoulders, chest and back, allowing the patient to improve range of motion and strength to those areas most affected by breast cancer surgery, treatment and reconstruction. The classes are also beneficial to anyone looking to improve his or her overall health and flexibility.

While the one-time class is free, donations are gladly accepted and all donations will be given to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. To schedule your free 30-minute session in October, call 623-910-1314.
