Is your breath nourishing or depleting you? Find out with “Nourish Yourself With Breath” with Lisa Perry, 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday Nov. 11, at Kinesphere Center for Movement Education 711 E. Missouri Ave., Suite 180.

There are different types of breathing patterns a person can choose and many modalities have their own breathing techniques. Often when someone wishes to change his or her breathing pattern, that person simply tries to breathe differently without the understanding that neurological and/or muscular imbalances may not allow him or her to change for the long term. This often results in neck, shoulder or abdominal tension, headaches or even fatigue. In this workshop, participants will be provided with a greater understanding of human breathing mechanics and how the way one breathes can either deplete or nourish one’s energy. Perry will guide participants through self-awareness and exercises to help them achieve a more efficient breathing pattern that can leave one feeling energized and focused. Cost is $25 before Nov. 6; $30 thereafter.
