Greg Peterson of The Urban Farm, Kari Spencer of The Micro Farm Project, and the Uptown Farmers Market host the GrowPhx Fall Summit, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 at North Phoenix Baptist Church, 5757 N. Central Ave.

The first 100 people to register will get their ticket for this one-day event for as low as $15. This event is separate from the weekly farmer’s market, which is free to attend.

The Fall Summit features practical, in-depth information about growing your own organic food, becoming more sustainable, saving money at the grocery store and being stronger ecological members in the community.

Arrive early to check out the market and the grand opening of the Uptown Grower’s Market. Stay for lunch and support the market vendors and food trucks that will offer a variety of tasty options.
