Get free help with navigating Medicare

Oct. 15 marks the beginning of the Medicare open enrollment season and the gluttony of television commercials promoting the “alphabet soup” of Medicare options. Eligible seniors many need help to navigate through the confusion of how Medicare works and answer some of the most common questions associated with Medicare, including: What is included in Part A; do you have to buy Part B; and do you have a drug plan included in your Medicare plan, or do you need to purchase a Part D prescription plan?

Seniors also may be confused as to whether they are entitled to receive Medicare free of charge when they turn 65, if they have previously paid into the Social Security system.

North Central native Kenny Tims is a retired Phoenix police commander and licensed insurance agent now helping people with their Medicare and health insurance choices. His services are free of charge and clients pay the exact same premiums for the plans offered, whether they use his services or purchase directly from the insurance provider or other source.
