Seniors who possess a city recreation card are invited to attend several holiday events this month. A Winter Celebration will take place 12:30-2:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18 at the Devonshire Senior Center, 2802 E. Devonshire Ave. Enjoy music, dancing, light refreshments, door prizes and more. Arrive early at 11:20 a.m. to enjoy the regular congregate lunch; RSVP required, suggested contribution is $2.50 per person.

Then come back on Wednesday, Dec. 30 to enjoy a Happy New Year party beginning at 10 a.m. There will be coffee, hot chocolate, cookies, and music from DJ Ron. For more information, or to RSVP for the Dec. 18 congregate lunch (by no later than Dec. 15), call 602-262-7807.

The Sunnyslope Senior Center, 802 E. Vogel Ave., hosts singers and dancers from the Paradise Valley Senior Center 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15. The visitors will provide holiday-theme entertainment. On Wednesday, Dec. 23, make your favorite holiday cookie and bring it to the cookie exchange, beginning at 12:30 p.m.

If you do not current have a recreation card, you can purchase one at the center for $20. The card is good for one year from the date of purchase.
