Phoenix manager Iliana Jespersen was selected to represent McDonald’s Rocky Mountain Region while supporting the McCafé restaurant at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. She was one of 32 employees nationwide selected for this opportunity.

Jespersen, who works at the 32nd Street and Indian School Road location, left for Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on July 15. Jespersen worked five days at the McCafé restaurant and had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience the excitement and action of the Olympic Games. Employees were given the opportunity to explore the area, attend one of the sporting events, and meet employees from different countries. All travel, hotel, food, Rio sightseeing and Olympic event tickets were paid by McDonald’s.

Jespersen was nominated by Phoenix McDonald’s owner Brandon O’Rourke. She started at the Phoenix location as a crew member 12 years ago. Jespersen is a top-performing manager, winner of the prestigious Ray Kroc Award and two-time recipient of the Rocky Mountain Region Manager of the Year Award.
