Mane Attraction Salon, 3156 E. Camelback Road, has partnered with Year Up Arizona, the local chapter of the national nonprofit that connects young adults who need opportunity with companies who need their talent.

Year Up Arizona’s first graduating class will walk across the stage on Thursday, Jan. 7 at the Orpheum Theatre in downtown Phoenix, and Mane Attraction Salon will be donating professional hair and makeup services for all 28 graduates.

“Contributions like this mean so much to our students,” said Kim Owens, founding executive director, Year Up Arizona. “Not only will these makeovers and styling tips enhance their confidence and image, but more importantly, it shows them that the business community supports their successful transition into a professional career.”

Part of a national nonprofit, Year Up Arizona launched in the Valley in January 2015. Since its founding in 2000, Year Up has served more than 11,500 young adults in 14 cities nationwide.
