Bug & Weed Mart, the locally owned DIY pest control retailer located at 5030 N. Central Ave., invites the public to enter its “Ultimate Scorpion Hunter Challenge” for a chance to win $500, plus one year of scorpion prevention supplies, plus instruction.

Participants age 18 and older are asked to create and submit a “how-to” video showing their best techniques and tricks for getting rid of scorpions. Contestants are encouraged to make their entries creative and compelling and must include a brief written description (up to 150 words).

Submissions are due beginning Sunday, May 15 through midnight, Friday June 3. To enter, e-mail an original video to contest@bugweedmart.com. The written description of up to 150 words and contact information should be typed in the body of the email. Videos can be a link or an MP4 file.

Bug & Weed Mart will review and upload entries to the company Facebook page. The entries with the most likes will be selected as finalists. The winning video will be selected from the finalists by Bug & Weed Mart owners, Jim and Joe LaBrie. For more information, call 602-265-0046.
