Chefs create desserts based on cookies

Girl Scouts–Arizona Cactus-Pine Council announces the return of its Girl Scout Cookie Dessert Challenge. For the third year in a row, participating chefs from top restaurants in the Valley will go head-to-head to create a dessert using one of the Girl Scouts’ cookie flavors.

Throughout the month of February, the desserts will be sold in participating restaurants with a portion of the proceeds from each dessert sold directly supporting local Girl Scouting.

The challenge takes place Feb. 1-29, and participating restaurants in Central Phoenix include:

  • 32 Shea, 10626 N. 32nd St.—Sweet Samoa Tart
  • Churn, 5223 N. Central Ave.—Trefoil Butter Swirl Ice Cream
  • The Market By Jennifer’s Restaurant + Bar, 3603 East Indian School Road—“Twixted” Trefoil Bar
  • The Henry, 4455 E. Camelback Road—Tagalong Donuts

Girl Scout Cookies will be available through Feb. 28. As in recent years, the Girl Scouts will have all cookies on hand for immediate customer purchase. Locations of cookie booths can be found by downloading the app Cookie Finder or by visiting girlscoutcookies.org.
