The 39th-Annual International Museum Day, organized on or around May 18 each year, aims at raising public awareness about the vital role museums play in their communities.

Pueblo Grande Museum will offer free museum admission from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18. There will be free gallery tours and artifact show-and-tell stations where guests can touch and ask questions. The museum is located at 4619 E. The Heard Museum, located at 2301 N. Central Ave., offers 2-for-1 admission on May 18 for general adults or seniors in groups of two or four people. The museum will be open 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mention International Museum Day to receive discount at Visitor Services. This discount is only redeemable at the door and can only be used on May 18.
