The Arizona Humane Society co-hosts an “Equine Victory Vets” summer camp for those who love animals, but particularly horses.

Presented offsite in collaboration with the Arizona Agribusiness & Equine Center, 3775 E. Union Hills Drive, this career-discovery program for teenage animal lovers (ages 15-18) focuses on veterinary sciences with an emphasis on equine sciences. Students will learn about horses, pathways to the veterinary field, surgery procedures and have the opportunity to dissect organs to study animal anatomy.

Additionally, students will work with AHS’ Emergency Animal Medical Technicians (EAMT) to understand animal cruelty and proper equine care.

The camp takes place 9 a.m.-3 p.m. June 6-10. Cost is $275. To register, visit http://www.azhumane.org/programs-for-kids.
