Now open in Phoenix, The Joy Bus Diner, 3375 E. Shea Blvd. Suite C-1, is a 100-percent nonprofit restaurant that’s helping make the Valley a tastier, happier place, one meal at a time.

Housed inside a welcoming space at the southeast corner of Shea Boulevard and the AZ-51 highway, The Joy Bus Diner boasts hearty, made-to-order breakfast and lunch fare served 7 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.

Think hearty sandwiches such as Patty Melts made with grass-fed beef or Rubens topped with housemade corned beef brisket; and a double-dipped crispy Chicken in a Biscuit. For more breakfasty fare, enjoy Princess Poppyseed Pancakes stuffed with fluffy lemon, served with fresh fruit and choice of sausage or Tender Belly bacon, or Roasted Chile Benedict with AZ-raised filet and “Woods Bread” topped with roasted chile hollandaise.

Even better, every cent earned will be used to support The Joy Bus, a local charity that’s been bringing chef-inspired meals and caring conversations to cancer patients Valley-wide since 2011.

At night The Joy Bus Diner will host community events and cooking classes, as well as serve as the dedicated commercial kitchen for The Joy Bus’ weekly meal deliveries.
