Julie Moreno, award-winning chef and owner of Jewel’s Bakery and Cafe, is launching a fall cooking series of moderately priced cooking classes at her gluten-free eatery, located at 4041 E. Thomas Road. The interactive experience is set to take place one Sunday, each month from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Moreno will launch the first class on Sunday, Oct. 9, and will feature an array of gluten-free, tasty fall comfort foods. Guests will learn how to make signature and playful takes on some of her most popular dishes, including cinnamon rolls, loaded baked potato soup and her famous, chicken potpie.

November’s class will focus on Thanksgiving dishes, and December will feature that holiday favorite, gingerbread.
