Movement and vitality are two inseparable characteristics of aliveness.  Whether our activity is an everyday one such as reaching or reclining, or we are pursuing an athletic skill, the human body is a complex design of brains and biomechanics.

Join Deborah Simmer for a “Movement and Vitality Workshop” from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 14. Using foundational principles from Z Health, SmartSpine and GYROTONIC Methodology, this workshop gives you an experience with getting your body ready to move, mobilizing joints to result in better overall movement, using sensory input to create postural awareness, and integrating the information delivered by stress/pain/discomfort. It’s a 90-minute experience with a neuro-physio focus on you. Cost is $35 before May 13, $40 after.

Then check out the “KneeHab Workshop” with Isabelle Barter, 1-2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 21. Deepen your understanding of the anatomy and biomechanics of the knees and their relationship with the hips and ankles. Learn rolling strategies using Yoga Tune Up therapy massage balls to relieve tension and restore the soft tissue around your hips, knees, and lower legs. Explore exercises and techniques that help with painful knees, and refresh your joints from the inside out. Cost is $35 before May 20, $40 after.
