The city of Phoenix Water Services Department hosts a free landscape watering workshop 2-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22 at the Acacia Library, 750 E. Townley Ave. Learn how to properly water your landscape to save time and increases the health and beauty of your plants.

In addition, a “Rain Gardens” class will follow directly after, from 3:15-4:15 p.m. Learn from a Certified Water Harvesting Practitioner how to design an Earth-friendly yard using simple earthworks and planting to passively cool your home.

The programs are free and open to the public. To RSVP for either class, call 602-261-8367 or register online at https://www.phoenix.gov/waterservices, and click on the “Conservation Workshops” tab.
