The city of Phoenix Water Services Department hosts a free landscape watering workshop 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at the Burton Barr Central Library, 1221 N. Central Ave. Learn how to properly water your landscape to save time and increases the health and beauty of your plants. Participants will receive a copy of “Landscaping By the Numbers.” This class is repeated on Saturday, April 23 at the Cholla Library, 10050 Metro Parkway E.

In addition, a “Rain Gardens” class will take place 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday, March 24, also at the Burton Barr Library. Learn from a Certified Water Harvesting Practitioner how to design an Earth-friendly yard using simple earthworks and planting to passively cool your home.
