Starting Saturday, Dec. 3, Christown Spectrum Mall hosts “Christown Cringle’s Workshop” every weekend from 12-4 p.m., through Sunday, Dec. 18. This is a free event for the whole family that includes holiday activities such as Santa’s elves working on holiday projects, holiday story reading, guest appearances from holiday characters, and more.

There will be an ornament decorating station for kids, where they will be encouraged to decorate the Santa’s Workshop tree that will be donated to a local senior center. Children also can make an ornament to take home.

Other on-site activities include Santa’s Mailbox, where children can write their letters to Santa; a big-screen TV featuring holiday classic movies; a face painter; and the Santa Station for photos with Santa (for a fee).

In addition, guests are encouraged to “Fill Santa’s Sleigh” with toys for the Salvation Army Angel Tree Program. Guests also can “Fill Santa’s Shelf” with canned goods, and Christown Spectrum Mall will contribute a matching donation to St. Mary’s Food Bank.

Harkins Movie Theater gift cards valued at $5 will be given away to the first 200 customers to visit the workshop on opening day, Dec. 3.
