The Phoenix Police Department has expanded the Virtual Block Watch program citywide. Virtual Block Watch is one of the department’s contemporary crime prevention and investigation tools that demonstrates the effectiveness of partnerships between police and the community.

The program allows businesses and private residences to register their existing surveillance equipment. Their location will then appear on a pin map accessible by officers and detectives for use in ongoing criminal investigations.

No live-feed access will be available, and participants must already have a working surveillance system with the equipment to retain their footage. There is no cost to register and your information is confidential.

Registering your camera not only helps deter crime, but also assists the Department in its overall crime prevention strategy in your neighborhood. Protect yourself, your family and your community by registering with Virtual Block Watch.
