CrossRoads United Methodist Women’s group, People of Purpose, is holding a new and gently used clothing drive through March 5 at the church, located at 7901 N. Central Ave.

The group seeks new or lightly used shirts, pants, shoes, jackets and warm-weather accessories, as well as new-in-package underwear and socks for men, women and children, all sizes. All of the donations will go to benefit the UMOM New Day center, which is Arizona’s largest homeless shelter for families.

Donations can be dropped off in the church office 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9-11 a.m. Sundays. Ring the buzzer to be admitted.

CrossRoads UMW: People of Purpose is a women’s group that meets at the church the first Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. The group’s purpose is to grow through Christ as they serve and support the community. One of the group’s biggest ongoing projects is the collection of feminine hygiene products for homeless women.
