A large selection of Valley artists will showcase animal-themed works at the Furry Friends Fine Arts Festival, set for 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16 on the lawn at the Shemer Arts Center, 5005 E. Camelback Road.

Among the animal-themed artists booths will also be neighborhood business sponsors, plus pet adoptions by the Arizona Humane Society and its Waggin’ Wheels adoption trailer. There will be pet readings, pet performances, live music, and food and beverage vendors.

Art will be available for purchase in categories of all types, including paintings, drawings, photography, ceramics and more.

Admission to the festival is $5 per person or $10 per family, and well-behaved furry friends are free (must be controlled on a leash).
