This American shorthair may be named Tiger but her personality is sweet and affectionate, and she’s ready to be spoiled rotten (submitted photo).

Tiger truly is the “cat’s meow.” The 5-year-old has moon-like eyes that widen with curiosity as she intently studies a twisted pipe cleaner as it’s slowly drug along the sofa, floor, or bed. When the anticipation finally overwhelms her she pounces, and the fun begins.

At the same time, the American shorthair has an affectionate side, and is especially fond of gentle neck scratches. She leans from side to side, purring with satisfaction, and her fur is softer than a rabbit. Tiger loves kids and being part of a family. She promises to not only keep you entertained with her antics, but also shower you with love.

Meet Tiger at the Arizona Humane Society, located at 9226 N. 13th Ave. Her adoption fee is $40 and includes a microchip. For more information, call 602-997-7585 and ask for animal number A498239.

Tiger may have been adopted by the time you visit the shelter but there are many other pets just like her who need a forever home. See them all by visiting www.azhumane.org.
