Z’Tejas Southwestern Grill recently donated more than $17,000 to Phoenix Children’s Hospital as part of its quarterly Cornbread for a Cause fundraiser.

Z’Tejas has contributed more than $140,000 to local nonprofits since it began Cornbread for a Cause in December 2015. The restaurant group’s corporate giving program chooses local organizations in Arizona and Texas that benefit each quarter from proceeds of sales of its freshly baked Z’Tejas cornbread.

Through March 31, a portion of the cornbread proceeds from Z’Tejas’ five Phoenix-area locations will go to the Pat Tillman Foundation, which invests in military veterans and their spouses through academic scholarships

Local organizations that have benefitted include Military Assistance Mission, Arizona Animal Welfare League and Scottsdale Active 20-30 Club.
