In celebration of National Chili Day, TEXAZ Grill, 6003 N. 16th St., invites Valley chili lovers to submit their best recipes. But chef/owner Steve Friedkin is not looking for plain old chili recipes; he’s looking for unique dishes that incorporate chili as a featured ingredient. Think mac n’ chili, or grilled cheese and chili sandwiches, chili eggs benedict, chili tamales, or even your personal version of a Frito Pie.

Chili cooks can submit their recipe via e-mail (texaz@texazgrill.com) or bring a printed copy into the restaurant, from now until March 31. Freidkin, who has served as a judge at the annual World Championship Chili Cook-off in Terlingua, Texas for the past 30 years, will select the winner, who will receive all-you-can-eat chili for one year (restrictions apply) at TEXAZ Grill.

The winning recipe may appear on TEXAS Grill’s Specials menu. All recipes submitted become the property of TEXAZ Grill, and may be added to TEXAZ’s website and social media pages. For more information, call 602-248-7827.
