The Biltmore neighborhood has gotten a little “Twisted” with the arrival of Common Ground Culinary’s Twisted Grove Parlor & Bar, which opened last month at 3160 E. Camelback Road.

The all-new Twisted Grove location took over the high-profile restaurant space formerly occupied by Stella restaurant (and famously Zen 32 before that) on the northwest corner of 32nd Street and Camelback Road. The location aims to be a welcoming neighborhood hangout featuring tufted booths, community tables and family artwork on the walls, as well as a leave-one, take-one cookbook library.

Twisted Grove’s new location also features the same compact yet comprehensive menu as the Scottsdale original, starting with perfect-for-sharing small plates such as house-made burrata and tomatoes, Twisted oysters (quick broiled and topped with creamed spinach, tasso ham relish and shallot butter) and the signature charred brussels sprouts with candied bacon. There’s also a variety of hearty bruschetta boards, farm-fresh salads and bold sandwiches. Go big with lunch or dinner entrées such as housemade pappardelle or cavatelli pastas, or skip straight to the dessert menu featuring Collins’ famed daily pies.

Twisted Grove in Phoenix also will offer weekend brunch featuring a Bloody Mary bar and Champagne station, as well as a daily Twisted Hour (3-6 p.m.), featuring $4 craft beers, $7 wines by the glass and craft cocktails for only $7 each  (menu changes seasonally.)
