One of the most interesting-looking and rarest of cats, Adelpha is 7-year-old orange Persian who is finally ready for her forever home.

Adelpha is 7-year-old orange Persian who is a little shy at first but will warm up to a loving home with lots of stuffed toys to play with and a human who will regularly brush her long, luxurious hair (submitted photo).

Originally brought to the Arizona Humane Society back in January, this beautiful feline endured quite the ordeal on her road to recovery. With a kitty cold that just would not go away, Adelpha spent her time getting better in an AHS Foster Hero’s home until he finally got back to 100 percent.

Loving once she gets to know you, Adelpha can be a little coy at the beginning and takes some time to come out of her shell. Once she feels safe and loved, this queenly cat is all purrs and fun. She loves playing with stuffed toys and getting her long, luxurious fur brushed. She has also lived with other cats and dogs, but a slow introduction is always best when getting to know new furry friends.

Adelpha is available at the Arizona Humane Society’s Sunnyslope Campus, located at 9226 N. 13th Ave. Her adoption fee is $200 and includes microchip and vaccinations. For more information, call 602-997-7585 and ask for animal number A574116.

Please note: This pet might have been adopted by the time you visit the shelter, however AHS has dozens more wonderful pets who also need loving homes. To see all adoptable animals right now, visit www.azhumane.org/findapet.
