The Xi Alpha Chi chapter of Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority, an international women’s social, cultural, and service organization, installed its 2018-19 officers on May 1 at the home of Juanita Saurer. The new officers bring a plethora of dedication and experience as they lead the sorority in another year of friendship, cultural development, and service.

This marks President Juanita Saurer’s 50th year as a member of Beta Sigma Phi. She has lived in Central Phoenix for as many years, graduating from Central High School. Vice President Karen Gilpin has been a member of Beta Sigma Phi for 30 years. Her pledge chapter was in Chester, Ill., but she relocated to Arizona and now lives in North Central Phoenix.

Treasurer Linda Peterson pledged in Marysville, Kan., 40 years ago and currently resides in Surprise. Recording Secretary Judy Decker lived in Belgium when she pledged Beta Sigma Phi 40 years ago. She also lives in Surprise. Corresponding Secretary Beth Rathsman has been a Xi Alpha Chi member for 10 years and lives in North Central Phoenix.
