Esso Coffeehouse & Roastery is a new locally owned and operated coffeehouse serving small batch coffee from beans roasted in-house. It is located in the commercial center dubbed The Strip, located at the northwest corner of Highland Avenue and 12th Street.

Esso is a quick-service cafe featuring fresh roasted coffee, espresso drinks and tea, as well as fresh locally baked pastries.  The café’s centerpiece is its hand-hammered, Italian-made lever pull 1976 Victoria Arduino Espresso Machine, which owner Sharon Koger acquired for a steal because it was a non-working display model. After investing quite a bit to get it in top-working order, it is now the centerpiece of the cozy space and worth a visit just to see it in action.

The pet-friendly outdoor seating, which fronts Highland Avenue, is surrounded by a vine-covered cement wall for a cool, relaxing place to sit and enjoy a summer morning.

Koger, a longtime Phoenix resident, has brought to life a cozy, intimate cafe with a focus on excellent customer service and a quality product, backed by over years of experience in coffee service and business management.

The coffeehouse is located at 4700 N. 12th St., #107, and is open weekdays from 6 a.m.-6 p.m. and weekends from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. For more information, call 480-560-3067 or visit https://essocoffeeshop.com.
