DispatchHealth is an on-site, on-demand healthcare company (think ER house calls for the 21st Century) that allows Phoenix residents to request care through their mobile app, by website or phone call. After requesting, they are connected to an emergency-trained provider who visits them in-person to treat everything from a minor illness and injury to complex clinical cases.

Not only is on-demand healthcare helping families with a sick kid or an aging parent who may have taken a fall, it’s also saving millions of dollars in unnecessary ER costs. Phoenix is currently one of only three cities in the country where DispatchHealth operates, but the company plans to expand to new markets shortly.

DispatchHealth works with the following insurance companies in Phoenix: Anthem, UnitedHealthcare, Humana, Cigna, Aetna, Bright Health and InnovAge. The cost of care is determined by the complexity of the care provided, the procedures performed and supplies required. The percentage of the total bill that a patient is responsible for is determined by their insurance plan. Therefore, a required payment will never be more than what is allowed by the insurance company.
