A new store on North 16th Street offers customers a chance to explore alternative forms of wellness along with a variety of interesting gift items.

Kaya Hemp Co. at 6102 N. 16th St. celebrates the complimentary cultures of hemp, health and sustainability. Products include a variety of CBD-infused tinctures/oils, spray and skincare products as well as edibles (candies, honey, tea, coffee and chocolates) in the CBD Apothecary. Kaya Hemp’s collection of eco-friendly and hand-crafted products for the kitchen, bath and body, baby and pets has been assembled with the notion of “Conscious Goods for Conscious People” in mind.

Hemp is a variety of the Cannabis Sativa L plant grown specifically for the industrial purposes of its derived products. Though hemp and marijuana are both derived from the Cannabis Sativa L plant species, they are very different in many ways. Industrial hemp plants are used mainly for products ranging from skincare to paper while marijuana plants are generally used for medicinal benefits.

Kaya Hemp Co.’s goal is to be a center of hemp and CBD-based advocacy and education to empower clients to live healthier lives, Cathleen Mitchell, the founder and CEO of Kaya Hemp Co. said.
