Turn summer harvest into preserved delights

On Saturday, June 8 Match Restaurant and Lounge’s Chef Orlando Parker leads a fun summer cooking class that instructs guests on the basics of brining and pickling vegetables.

Upon arrival to the restaurant located on the ground floor of the FOUND:RE Phoenix hotel at 1100 N. Central Ave., guests can enjoy a welcome cocktail as they settle in and soak up the following information: Brining Basics: Turning cucumbers into pickles; Quick Pickling Vegetables–Tequila-pickled onions; Pickling Fruits–Pricked Watermelon; and Creating Sauerkraut.

Class takes place from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and cost is $50 per person. Reservations can be made by calling 602-875-8080.
