The Better Breathers Club, a free support group for people with lung disease and their caregivers, meets 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 5, at the Abrazo Central Campus, 2000 W. Bethany Home Road, in the south building.

This is a support group for people with COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), chronic asthma, lung cancer or other lung diseases. It brings members together to socialize as well as learn skills to help manage their conditions and improve their quality of life.

In addition, a Functional Communications Group meets 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 6 in the Abrazo Central Campus Acute Inpatient Rehab Conference Room. This group is for any individuals and/or caregivers that are affected by conditions or diagnoses that impact a person’s ability to effectively and independently communicate, including but not limited to: Parkinson’s, stroke, ALS, patients with dysarthria, and more.

Find support as well as learn strategies that may facilitate ongoing recovery and increased independence. This group will be designed in part by its members.
