Parents looking for something educational and entertaining their children can do when school is out on Veterans Day might want to explore the Children’s Museum of Phoenix.

The museum at 215 N. Seventh St. will offer Day Camp: Veterans Day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 11. Children ages 5 to 8 will participate in games and hands-on learning activities, enjoy free play in the exhibits on all three floors, and create Splatter Paintings inspired by artist Jackson Pollok’s style. The camp is $65 per child for the day for nonmembers and $55 for members. There is an additional $20 fee for early care (from 8 to 9 a.m.) and after care (from 4 to 5:30 p.m.)

Also this month, there is a Members-Only Extended play day on Friday, Nov. 15, when members can visit the museum from 4 to 7 p.m. These Members-Only Nights occur on the third Friday of every month.
