Popular storybook characters will come to life at a festival on Saturday, Sept. 14 and Saturday, Sept. 21 at Christown Spectrum Shopping Center.

Camp Christown Reading Fun Fest will be held from noon to 3 p.m. both days at the mall at 1703 W. Bethany Home Road. Characters from “Alice in Wonderland” on Sept. 14 and “The Cat in the Hat” on Sept. 21 will entertain visitors at the family-friendly, free festival. Every child will get a free book and kids can also make their own books and create their own stories to bring home.

The festival will also feature storytelling, music, a face painter, a balloon artist and arts and crafts activities.
