Matty G’s steakburger eatery opens new spot

If you are craving meat, there is a new, family-owned restaurant in the area that offers a huge selection of steakburgers and other sandwiches.

Matty G’s Steakburgers recently opened a location at 6025 N. 16th St. It also has locations in Scottsdale and Mesa. Its menu includes an All-Star signature burger with two steakburger patties, Matty G’s fry sauce, applewood smoked bacon, American cheese, grilled onions, lettuce and tomato. Field of Dreams, which has won awards, has two steakburger patties, ghost pepper cheese, sautéed mushrooms, pickled jalapeno and chipotle aioli.  Matty G’s fry sauce has a ketchup/mayonnaise base with some smokiness, said Matt Gorman, who owns the Matty G’s restaurants with his wife, Doreen Rios.

The restaurant also carries several beers from local brewers including SanTan Brewing Company and Huss Brewing.

Many different hot dogs, salads, wraps and side dishes including carne asada fries and homemade, deep-fried jalapenos also are on the menu. Matty G’s 16th Street location is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. To learn more, visit matty-gs.com.
