Dig It Gardens will offer a Spring Gardening class from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 8, in its gardens at 3015 N. 16th St. Learn the basics of garden preparations including seed and soil preparation for the spring. The class will cover seasonal seed choices, starts, fertilizer and recommended soil amendments. The cost is $10; children may attend for free.

Interested in desert landscaping? Dig It Gardens will offer a Native Plants for Native Landscapes class from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 22. Learn about using native plant material in your landscaping and how it affects the environment. Topics include selecting native plants, appropriate placement in the landscape and the best maintenance practices. Bring your questions to help guide the class.

The cost is $10 and there is a 40-person maximum for the class.
